Founder of Fresh 'N Sassy Productions
Janishia Jones is a music business executive, entrepreneur, and singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA.
Raised in Paterson, NJ, Janishia began a long-standing passion for the performing arts as a violinist, self-taught pianist, classical dancer, and trained opera-singer earning her several titles in local talent competitions.
Having jet-setted across the globe from the South of France to SE Asia, she garnered a deep appreciation for fine arts studying the masterpieces of Dali, Picasso, Michelangelo, and Monet among many others.
After graduating with an A.S. in Recording Arts, B.S. in Music Business, and M.S. in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, Janishia has for several years worked as a music royalty executive for some of the greatest artists & musicians of our generation from Raphael Saadiq to Faith Evans to Raekwon of the Wu Tang Clan.
In 2010, Janishia founded the self-management & artist development platform Brok'n Records LLC as an avenue to promote artists' longevity in a changing music industry.
In 2018, she founded Fresh 'N Sassy Productions, a podcast & multi-media platform. 'Taking Up Space: a music + art pop up' serves as a safe space to showcase the creative talents of and to bring awareness to socio-economic issues affecting black millennial women.
